Adam Morgan beat Colin Turkington to race 3 victory at Thruxton after controversially cutting the final chicane.

Polesitter Morgan started well, opening the gap to Senna Proctor who was overtaken by Colin Turkington into Allard.

The Safety Car was brought out after Jade Edwards and Gordon Shedden made contact into turn 1, with Edwards out on the spot and Shedden driving around to the pits before retiring.

After 4 laps behind the Safety Car, the race was restarted with Morgan holding the field up for as long as possible before crossing the line.

Morgan had a good first lap, however was caught quickly by both Turkington and Proctor.

The Safety Car was brought out again to recover the stricken Toyota of Sam Smelt after crashing at the complex.

Morgan restarted well again keeping Turkington behind him.

But before the race could really get going, Ollie Jackson pulled off the track and the third Safety Car of the race was brought out.

For the third time, Morgan started well, opening up a decent gap to Turkington.

Morgan then out braked himself into the final chicane after locking up.

Morgan did allow Turkington close back up but not straight away and was able to keep him behind to take his second race win of the year.

Proctor completed the podium ahead of Jake Hill and Tom Ingram.

Rory Butcher came home sixth ahead of Josh Cook and Jason Plato.

Chris Smiley and Championship leader Ash Sutton completed the top ten.
