- Cup cars will pay a visit to Austin’s Circuit of the Americas for the first time on May 23rd. Just like Indy and F1, they will take on the full course making for a historic event this Spring.
- This year will have an extra visit to Daytona as drivers will take on the road course a week after the 500
- Road America will make his Cup Series return on Independence Day. The track has previously held an Xfinity Series race last year.
- Indianapolis has opened their road course for the Cup cars as well. Scheduled for August 15th. It will be their last road course race before the start of the Playoffs
- Their first time at Bristol will quite different this year. Tons of dirt have been dumped at “The World’s Fastest-Mille” making for the Cup’s first dirt race since 1970.
- Last but definitely not least, Cup Cars will be back in Nashville Tennessee as Nashville Superspeedway will host their first race in the Music City since 1984.
While new tracks bring excitement and an evident sense of renewal to the sport, this next change brings peace and calm.
