Ash Sutton beat race 1 winner Josh Cook after superb drive through the grid.
Race 1 winner Cook stormed ahead on the first lap in front of the fast starting BMW of Tom Oliphant and Rory Butcher.
Ash Sutton then passed Butcher and Jake Hill into Church to take third.
Sutton was then able to pass Oliphant for second.
Sutton was then able to close the gap to Cook and with seven laps to go Sutton put himself within a quarter of a second of the BTC Racing driver.
Sutton was finally able to make the move on Cook, passing the Honda into Allard on lap 11.
Butcher was quickly becoming a cork-in-the-bottle in fourth and was able to just stay ahead after making contact with Tom Ingram.
The Toyota driver did eventually get passed by Ingram after a great side-to-side battle with the Hyundai driver and Colin Turkington.
However, all the good work Ingram did to pass Butcher was nullified after getting a puncture on the final lap.
Cook kept Sutton honest and finished just 0.878s behind the Infiniti driver.
Oliphant completed the podium ahead of Jake Hill and Butcher.
Turkington finished sixth, just in front of Senna Proctor and Adam Morgan with Jason Plato and Dan Lloyd completing the top 10.
